These online resources—which focus on specific global histories reflected in the visual arts, as well as perspectives and lived experiences of artists—are designed to support common core standards in history, humanities, and ethnic studies for 7th–12th-grade learners. Based on Fowler exhibitions and publications, these materials enhance student engagement in the classroom by provoking inquiry into the intersections of art, history, religion, and current events.
The Fowler Museum collaborates with university faculty and staff to produce multimedia content based on the museum’s collections for BruinLearn, UCLA’s online learning management system run by Canvas Commons. This content, which includes lesson plans, interactive media assignments, and learning activities, can be used in any college course that uses Canvas.
