UCLA Art History Graduate Symposium

The one-day symposium Art on the Edge: Crossing Borders, Shifting Boundaries, Challenging Conventions will examine the history of art in relation to its literal and figurative borders and ask in what ways artists and artworks have contributed to and confronted our conceptualization of these borders, conventions, and lines of demarcation. The keynote speaker will be Ala Ebtekar, visual artist and lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History at Stanford University.
