Story Time: Up, Tall and High
Join us for an interactive storytelling experience as we look, listen, and learn in our exhibition Intersections: World Arts, Local Lives. Families and children of all ages will laugh out loud as they follow four birds illustrating the concepts of “up,” “tall,” and “high” in Up, Tall and High by Ethan Long (2012). After exploring the Fowler’s own artworks featuring birds, participants will learn to draw a colorful bird during a guided art-making workshop.

About the Exhibition
Intersections: World Arts, Local Lives explores the roles that art plays in creating meaning and defining purpose for people across the globe. Art is not only a reflection of culture but can actively shape thought and experience. The objects on display have all intervened in the lives of those who made or used them—whether to educate, solve problems, assert leadership, assist in remembering, or provision loved ones in the afterlife.
