Story Time: The 5 O’Clock Band

April 5, 2019 | 11:30AM - 12:30PM

Join Fowler Educators for an interactive storytelling experience as we look, listen, and learn in our special exhibition New Orleans Second Line Parades: Photographs by Pableaux Johnson. Children of all ages are invited to discover how a young musician hit the streets of New Orleans to learn what it means to be an artist, a leader, and a friend in The 5 O’Clock Band by Troy (“Trombone Shorty”) Andrews. Continue learning about the importance of brass bands in New Orleans on a family-friendly tour with a Fowler Educator.

Story Time is a short format, informal storytelling program facilitated by Fowler Educators at 11:30am on the first and third Friday of most months. This event is free, no reservation required. Meet in the Fowler’s Lobby.
