Story Time: Catch That Goat!
Children of all ages are invited to learn about Nigeria and the Yoruba language in Polly Alakija’s book Catch That Goat! (2007). Join us for an interactive storytelling experience in our special exhibition Summoning the Ancestors: Southern Nigerian Bronzes and hear how a young girl named Ayoka finds more than she bargained for after chasing the family goat through town. Following the reading, families are encouraged to explore the exhibition uninterrupted before the Fowler opens to the general public at noon.
Story Time is a short format, informal storytelling program facilitated by Fowler educators. This event is free, no reservation required. Meet in the Fowler’s Lobby.
