Story Time at the Fowler
Ever wonder how tortoises got their shells? Join us for an interactive storytelling experience as we look, listen, and learn in our exhibition Axé Bahia. Families and children of all ages are invited to follow one animal’s mischievous pranks in Jabutí the Tortoise: A Trickster Tale from the Amazon (2001). At the end, a Museum Educator will lead families on a brief exploration of related origin stories from West Africa.
Story Time is a short format, informal storytelling program facilitated by Fowler educators from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on the first and third Friday of each month. This event is free, no reservation required. Meet in the Fowler’s Lobby.
