Story Time at the Fowler
How can one young girl make a difference in the world? Join us for an interactive storytelling experience as we look, listen, and learn in our exhibition Africa/Americas. Children of all ages are invited to discover the true story of Wangari Maathai, environmentalist and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, in Wangari’s Trees of Peace: A True Story from Africa (2008). At the end, a Museum Educator will lead families on a brief exploration of artworks related to the story.
Story Time is a short format, informal storytelling program facilitated by Fowler educators from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on the first and third Friday of each month. This event is free, no reservation required. Meet in the Fowler’s Lobby.
