Special Program: Honoring Fire Kinship

We invite you to join us for a closing gathering honoring Fire Kinship: Southern California Native Ecology and Art at the Fowler Museum.
As this exhibition enters its final weeks, we come together in gratitude for community members, artists, fire practitioners, and the object-relatives who have shared their teachings, presence, and healing through Fire Kinship. The gathering will open with song and music by Lazaro Arvizu Jr., followed by reflections and words shared by California Indian community members. Time and space will be held to gather with one another and to spend time in the exhibition.
This closing gathering is offered as a moment to reflect, reconnect, and honor the teachings shared through the exhibition. All community members, families, and relatives are welcome.
