Named after a celebrated transgender activist, Tchindas explores Cape Verde’s colorful Carnival and its empowered transgender community. Directed by Pablo García Pérez de Lara and Marc Serena, the film follows the community’s preparations for Carnival, and reveals a fairy tale-like world where trans inclusion and teamwork create a truly magical culture.
