Using interviews, performances, lessons, and archival footage and photographs, the film vividly portrays Dai’s performing partnerships with famous musicians, his teaching career, and his journey through eight decades of momentous social and musical change in China. Co-presented with UCLA Department of World Arts and Culture/Dance, UCLA Council on Research, and the UCLA Confucius Institute.
