Ghanaian-American filmmaker Akosua Adoma Owusu presents her latest short film, an adaptation of a short story by renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. On Monday of Last Week follows a Nigerian woman working as a nanny for an interracial couple. The program also features two of Owusu’s shorts: Split Ends, I Feel Wonderful (2012) and Mahogany Too (2018).

Following the screening, Owusu converses with Jamillah James, Curator, Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
