Kids in the Courtyard: Let’s Go Sailing

Take a look at the beautiful boats in Art of the Austronesians and imagine going on your own journey. Create a mini sailboat and test it out in our fountain! You’ll even have the chance to paddle around the courtyard in the Fowler’s land-faring “boat.”

Special Program: Uhengaparaoa Taonga Tuku Iho / Ancestral Gifts / Contemporary Māori Art

This gathering marks the opening of a collaborative exhibition that connects contemporary Māori textile artists from Whakatōhea with an ancestral kaitaka (cloak) in the Fowler Museum collection.
