It’s a Wrap! A Through Positive Eyes Closing Party

February 12, 2020 | 6:00PM - 9:00PM

Enjoy tasty banana splits, Valentine’s Day activities, and performances from HIV-positive artivists and the UCLA Sex Squad. Special guest and “Condom Couture” artist Adriana Bertini will join others in speaking on arts and activism. This event is organized by UCLA’s World Arts and Cultures/Dance Department to celebrate the stories of strength and survival that define the exhibition Through Positive Eyes. Free and open to all.

Photography, video, and live storytelling components produced by people living with HIV and AIDS offer intimate access to everyday and extraordinary life moments from their perspectives. Their artistic statements are powerful tools for combating stigma, one of the most formidable barriers to fighting the epidemic.
