High Noon Film Series: Love, Iranian-American Style
August 20, 2010 | 12:00PM - 5:00PM
Tanaz Eshagian’s dry, funny film documents her dating struggles as she turns twenty-five and agrees, half-heartedly, to her mother’s efforts to set her up in an arranged marriage with an Iranian groom. As the filmmaker attempts to define herself via ethnic identity, she encounters a conflict between Iranian and American ideals about how to achieve a long-term commitment.
