Fowler Out Loud: Solea

Enjoy an evening of jazz, rock, and free improvisation with Solea’s core quintet: guitarist Sean Lee, saxophonist Lancelot Chu, drummer Jordan Avesar, bassist Kyle Frankhuizen, and pianist Hunter Melee. Solea has often played as a backup band for the hip-hop collective Adobe House.

Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from all disciplines to perform at the Museum—in the Courtyard, in the galleries, or sometimes in the amphitheater—we like switch it up!

Support for Fowler Out Loud comes from the UCLA Office of Residential Life. Admission to the Fowler is free and the galleries are open 12–8pm on Wednesdays.

Parking available in UCLA Lot 4, 398 Westwood Plaza, directly off Sunset Blvd | $12/day. Rideshare drop-off 305 Royce Drive.

This gathering marks the opening of a collaborative exhibition that connects contemporary Māori textile artists from Whakatōhea with an ancestral kaitaka (cloak) in the Fowler Museum collection.
