In the first Fowler Out Loud of the fall quarter, Sahara Grim shares her original compositions that include influences of jazz, soul, and funk. These pieces are experiences that emphasize on human rights, art, imagination, and spirituality. Studying her cultural roots and collaborating with world music majors has led to creating new sounds on these compositions, making the music about the connections and communication that can exist between different cultures.
Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum.
Support for Fowler Out Loud comes from the UCLA Office of Residential Life.
