Fowler Out Loud: Matthew Lombard
Matthew Lombard presents a program of music for saxophone and live electronics, crossing cultural and stylistic music borders by integrating works from different parts of the world, combining classical and jazz genres, and exploring the soundscape of live digital amplification effects. Lombard will present a work for two saxophones, including a tape by Los Angeles-based composer William Haubrich, who incorporates musical traditions from South Africa.
Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum. Support for Fowler Out Loud comes from the UCLA Office of Residential Life.
