Chicano artist José Montoya captured the spirit of his times in hundreds of drawings on view in Abundant Harvest. Try your hand at sketching to live music by instrumental group Apollo Soul as they creatively fuse jazz, funk, and hip-hop to inspire the artist in you. Drawing materials provided. Open to all ages and skill levels.

This gathering marks the opening of a collaborative exhibition that connects contemporary Māori textile artists from Whakatōhea with an ancestral kaitaka (cloak) in the Fowler Museum collection.
