
Fowler Out Loud: Dewa Ayu Larassanti
Dewa Ayu Larassanti will present Balinese dances in the traditional putri and bebancihan styles, followed by a workshop inviting audiences to participate in performing kecak: a Balinese hindu rhythmic chant strongly associated with healing and community.
Larassanti is a dancer, musician, and vocalist who regularly teaches at Sanggar Çudamani, a Balinese performing arts school founded by her parents in Pengosekan, Bali. With Çudamani, she has toured Greece, Japan, Canada, and throughout the United States.

Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum. Support for Fowler Out Loud comes from the UCLA Office of Residential Life.
All performances begin at 6PM. Galleries are open until 8PM.
