Fowler Out Loud: Continuance

LA-based Continuance ensemble is composed of UCLA Global Jazz Studies students Dalton Mumphrey, Caden Potter, Matthew Wilson, and Artie Fitch. Rooted in jazz, they perform original compositions and traditional jazz standards that highlight each musician’s talent, while providing a vibrant musical experience.

Fowler Out Loud
Fowler Out Loud is an evening concert series that invites UCLA students from various disciplines to perform at the museum. Support for Fowler Out Loud comes from the UCLA Office of Residential Life. All performances begin at 6 pm. 

Parking available in UCLA Lot 4, 198 Westwood Plaza, directly off Sunset Blvd; $3/hr or max $14/day. Rideshare drop-off at 305 Royce Dr.

Special Program: Uhengaparaoa Taonga Tuku Iho / Ancestral Gifts / Contemporary Māori Art

This gathering marks the opening of a collaborative exhibition that connects contemporary Māori textile artists from Whakatōhea with an ancestral kaitaka (cloak) in the Fowler Museum collection. Inspired by the legacy of Uhengaparaoa, a renowned pre-18th century Whakatōhea weaver whose knowledge of raranga (weaving) was shared across communities, the exhibition celebrates taonga tuku iho—ancestral treasures and knowledge passed down through generations. ...
