
Fowler in the City: Images of Homeland, Printing on Textiles

Join us off-site at Sovern LA for a block-printing workshop with Iranian-American artist Jasmine Djavahery. Participants will be asked to reflect on the meaning of “homeland,” then carve their personal imagery onto a block, and print it onto fabric with ink. Each participant will take home two prints. The event will take place at Sovern LA, 5757 West Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016 and is for participants age 18 and up.
Jasmine Djavahery (b. 1999) is an artist of Iranian descent born in Los Angeles and currently based in the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a dual BA in critical race/ethnic studies and fine art.
