Family Jam: UCLA Kyodo Taiko

Admire works by Japanese fiber artists in The Box Project: Uncommon Threads. Then experiment with fiber to make a colorful Taiko-inspired headband of your own. Afterward, enjoy a performance by the UCLA group Kyodo Taiko (3–4 pm).

This gathering marks the opening of a collaborative exhibition that connects contemporary Māori textile artists from Whakatōhea with an ancestral kaitaka (cloak) in the Fowler Museum collection.
