Ensemble Afrocubanos

Experience Ensemble Afrocubanos perform live Cuban and Afro-Cuban music and dance during the opening celebration of Nkame: A Retrospective of Cuban Printmaker Belkis Ayón. Incorporating congas, batá drums, and other percussion instruments, the hour-long performance features the rhythmic improvisational music of Abakuá, as well as Cuba’s famed musical genre rumba.
