Culture Fix: Gassia Armenian on Joli!

The Joli masquerade originated in the urban port city of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Its elaborate headdresses are unique in their materials and composition. Join Gassia Armenian, Curatorial and Research Associate, Fowler Museum, as she peels away the layers of these intricate masks to reveal their history and artistry.
