Culture Fix: Cristina Vives and Katia Ayón on Belkis Ayón

On this opening day gallery talk, guest curator Cristina Vives, and the artist’s sister and director of the Estate of Belkis Ayón, Dr. Katia Ayón, offer a tour of Nkame—a retrospective of work by the late Cuban visual artist Belkis Ayón. Vives and Katia Ayón draw upon their personal experiences of the artist and share insights into Belkis Ayón’s influence on contemporary Cuban printmaking.
