Culture Fix: Ana Lisa Hedstrom on The Box Project: Uncommon Threads

Known for her signature textiles based on contemporary adaptations of shibori—a Japanese technique of resist dyeing—Ana Lisa Hedstrom’s works are featured in The Box Project: Uncommon Threads and are included in the museum collections of Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Museum of Art and Design, and the De Young Museum. In this informal gallery talk, Hedstrom discusses her creative process in terms of her commissioned work on view and reflects upon other artists’ works that have shared affinities.
