Book Launch: Mohamed M. Keshavjee, Into That Heaven of Freedom

Dr. Mohamed M. Keshavjee, a second-generation South African, shares the story of the Indian Muslim community’s contribution to South Africa and its twentieth-century struggle for equality – a struggle that produced two moral giants, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. Following the reading, Keshavjee converses with Steven Nelson, UCLA Professor of Art History and Director of the African Studies Center. Refreshments will be served and the book will be available for purchase.
