Family Programs
Families – from the youngest members to seniors – are invited to participate in the Museum's entertaining and engaging art-based experiences.
Family Guide
Designed to guide our younger visitors' experience of Intersections, our permanent collections gallery, this brochure for 5-12 year-olds enhances their visit with stories of peoples from around the world, matching games, and sketching activities.
ArtVentures: Puzzle and Play
Launch your family on an ArtVenture during your next visit to the Fowler Museum. A tote bag full of puzzles awaits to help families play their way through Intersections! Ask for ArtVentures: Puzzle and Play at the information desk in the Museum's lobby.
Kids in the Courtyard
One Sunday per month, kids and kids-at-heart are welcome at a drop-in workshop in the Fowler's courtyard between 1 and 4 pm to take part in hands-on learning. Families can learn about world cultures through games and art-making activities. This program is free and open to the public.
Check our Calendar for upcoming Kids in the Courtyard programs.
Family Jam
This monthly world music series for families begins provides exciting opportunities to listen, learn, and jam with world music performers and educators. Free to everyone.
KIDSMUSE Summer Camp
KIDSMUSE is developed and led by a team of experienced educators who help children make personal connections and link world arts to their everyday lives. Two sessions, stressing experiential learning for 6–8 and 9–12 year-olds, are offered each summer. By popular demand, camp hours have been extended and are now 9 am–4 pm, with late pick-up options available for an additional fee.
This year's summer camp explores dress and fashion and is centered around the exhibition Resplendent Dress from Southeastern Europe: A History in Layers.
