“Renegade crafter” Jenny Hart is best known for her artwork in hand embroidery and her design company, Sublime Stitching (motto: “This ain’t your gramma’s embroidery”). Hart’s work has been widely exhibited and published; in 2012 her embroidery will be included in 40 under 40: Craft Futures at the Smithsonian American Art Museum Renwick Gallery.

This workshop begins with a focused tour of the embroideries in Order and Disorder: Alighiero Boetti by Afghan Women led by Fowler curator Roy Hamilton, followed by an all-levels workshop with Hart utilizing her popular alphabet patterns.
